I was born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In college, I moved to Omaha, Nebraska, and have lived here for the last 19 years. I am currently a student at Crown College completing a master’s degree in counseling with an emphasis on alcohol and drug addiction.
I received a bachelor’s degree in communications from the University of Nebraska in Omaha. In my free time, I took several Spanish classes in Omaha, and I can speak it at an intermediate level.
As an intern, I am open to learning what my specialty will be. Some things that interest me are working with people who have addictions, people from different cultures, trauma, and geriatric mental health.
I have experience working with people who are addicted to alcohol and drugs. And, those who are addicted to pornography. I believe that with help people can find freedom from the addictions they face.

I recently got married in March 2023. I enjoy spending time with my wife Keli. We like to go on road trips, cook or go out to eat, watch movies, and hike.Keli and I recently took a trip to California where we visited and hiked at Yosemite National Park. We also rented a convertible and drove down the California coast. I enjoy spending time outdoors and being active. Besides hiking, I have gotten into running the last 6 years and have run several 5k races and a 10k. I also enjoy watching and playing sports. The sports I am the most into are golf and football.
My goal is to be the best husband I can be. And, to develop as a mental health and substance abuse counselor through this internship process and beyond. I desire to be a lifelong learner and to be a support to others along their journeys through life.
