About Chris Marshall
Hello!
My approach to counseling is flexible and tailored to each client’s unique needs, drawing from a variety of evidence-based modalities. I primarily use CBT and DBT, which focus on identifying and changing unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors. These therapies are practical and beneficial! I enjoy working with men and women who are facing relationship difficulties, legal stressors, addiction issues, anxiety, depression, grief, mood and impulse disorders, and more! I enjoy seeing men and women overcome their obstacles! Problems hit all of us to some degree in this world, but there is hope and help to overcome them.
One of the reasons I became a counselor was that I desire to help people become the best they can be and live the best life possible. Even if your life feels broken and in chaos, you can come out of it. I strive to create a space where clients feel heard, understood, and supported as they work through life’s challenges.
I have specialized experience working with individuals facing addiction and mental health concerns. This includes work with pornography addiction, and I am continuing to pursue advanced training in this area, as well as in working with individuals who have committed sexual offenses. I work with clients involved in state and federal probation, as well as those outside of the criminal justice system who want to address concerns related to pornography use and sexual behaviors.
I am also expanding my training in the Internal Family Systems (IFS) approach to further support clients in deeper self-understanding and healing.
For clients who desire it, I can integrate the Christian faith into the counseling process, incorporating spiritual principles as part of the healing journey.
Sometimes reaching out for help can be difficult. I believe that when you involve others in your struggles, they can offer you support and a fresh perspective.
“If you feel like you are stuck, stressed out, or struggling, I would love to hear from you."
