About Meagan Botello
Meagan is a provisionally licensed mental health counselor with seven years of experience in the mental health field. She has worked across a variety of behavioral health settings, providing support to teens, families, and adults. Meagan is particularly passionate about trauma-informed care and fostering self-compassion in her clients.
She specializes in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), utilizing these evidence-based approaches to help clients identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns while effectively processing trauma. Meagan also integrates strengths-based practices into her work, empowering clients by recognizing and building on their inherent abilities and resilience.
Her professional experience includes working with diverse populations, including individuals from Hispanic, African American, and Native American communities, as well as LGBTQ+ populations. She has also supported clients across a wide range of socioeconomic backgrounds and has experience addressing addiction and co-occurring disorders.
