About Kayla Cron

Kayla is a Provisionally Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (PLADC) who helps individuals overcome substance use challenges and build a strong foundation for recovery. Her approach is solution-focused and grounded in evidence-based practices such as CBT, DBT, and Motivational Interviewing. She works with clients to develop practical tools, self-awareness, and resilience so they can create lasting change in their lives.

Kayla's background in the criminal justice system gave her insight into the challenges individuals face when rebuilding their lives, which inspired her to pursue a career in counseling and recovery support. She emphasizes how healthy relationships and firm boundaries play a vital role in sustaining recovery and preventing relapse. Her goal is to create a safe, supportive, and collaborative space where clients feel understood, empowered, and encouraged to rediscover their strengths.

She has experience in residential treatment settings and will be expanding my work to outpatient care in December. After earning her Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and Criminology from the University of Nebraska at Omaha in 2023, she completed my degree in Chemical Dependency Counseling at Metropolitan Community College in 2025.
